Premier League Team of the Week: David Silva makes it two out of two while Manchester United's youngsters make the grade

Another goal, and another breathtaking performance from the classy Spain international sees him and two of his Manchester City team-mates feature in our select XI

What more can you say about David Silva's start to the Premier League season? The Spaniard has been truly inspirational for Roberto Mancini's side, and begs the question whether they really need to sign Arsenal's Samir Nasri.

The Manchester City maestro can boast a 100 per cent record thus far for TOTW appearances, and while he produces performances of such calibre he may remain there for the whole campaign. We dare you, David.

Premier League newboys they may be, but Norwich pair John Ruddy and Ritchie de Laet (the latter on loan from Manchester United) make their debuts this week. De Laet, at fault for Wigan's goal last weekend, netted his side's first at Carrow Road since their return to England's top flight, while Ruddy denied former Ipswich star Jonathan Walters from the penalty spot to the delight of the home fans.

Jose Enrique and Fabricio Coloccini are reunited in defence following the Spaniard's impressive shutout display at the Emirates, while the fuzzy-haired Argentine was a pillar of strength against rivals Sunderland. Liverpool team-mates Martin Kelly and Lucas also make the grade.

James Milner must be pinching himself this week. Not only was he picked by Mancini for the second league game running, he received a call from TOTW to boot. Not bad, lad.

Attacking from the flanks, two of England's young speedsters, with Danny Welbeck – our man of the match against Tottenham on Monday – starting from the right, with Gabby Agbonlahor on the left.

Up top, Edin Dzeko. In fairness, the Bosnian was unfortunate not to feature last week, but following another top effort, we were more than happy to pick the former Wolfsburg man this time round.
